This real-life resurrection just happened! Read how one ACT student prayed for a man with no pulse—and watched Jesus raise him to life. We just had to share the good news with you!
Yesterday, I was driving through an intersection on my way to an appointment when I saw a man laying in the road, right in the middle of the intersection, and they were doing CPR on him.
I knew if I stopped I'd be late for my appointment. But I circled around and saw the family weeping on the corner and I couldn't NOT stop.
I went up and prayed with them and as we prayed we watched them try to shock the grandpa 3 times to get him to come back. He'd been there for over 10 minutes. No pulse. No breath. No ambulances, fire trucks, or police. Just 4 EMTs.
I asked if I could pray for their grandpa and they gave me permission. So I picked my way around the equipment into the street and without getting in the EMTs way, I stretched out my hand toward the man on the ground and began to pray.
l felt NOTHING. And I mean nothing. No affirmation from God in any way that He was moving. Some of the EMTs began packing up while another began cutting off the grandpa's clothes.
But I kept my hand stretched out toward him anyway and continued saying aloud "Come alive in Jesus' name" over and over (about 10-15 times) when all of a sudden I hear the lead EMT say, "we have a pulse." All their hands flew off and I watched the man take his own breath. I'll never forget it. Jesus raised him from the dead right there in the street in front of Chick-fil-A.
After taking the family to the hospital, I was overwhelmed by Gods goodness. And thats when I finally heard my Fathers voice. He said, "Well done, daughter. We don't let people die in the street."
I was marveling, because while God was busy raising the dead, I literally stood there praying aloud while thinking, This feels no different than praying over my dinner before I eat it. But I'll stand here and pray until I'm told to stop.
I wouldn't have done that a year ago. A year ago, I wouldn't have felt qualified to stop. All the "You're going to be late..." and the "You'll just be in the way..." and the "You didn't prepare for this..." thoughts were all battling in my head.
But early in our training in ACT when you all said we don't have to "work up" the anointing. We just remember who we are and let Jesus be Jesus... and how it wouldn't be grace if we had to pray for 3 hours and fast for 3 days before we felt qualified to pray for someone.
This is my favorite testimony from my year with ACT. Receiving the revelation of what it really means to rest in our identity in Christ and simply be His sons and daughters... then we really can step into that lifestyle of, "as you go...heal the sick, raise the dead, and cast out demons." Its not out of reach. Its accessible.
I used to think it was so much harder. I had no word of knowledge. No sensations. I expected lightning voltage at the very least. But yesterday, it was that quiet internal feeling of the Father's compassion stirring my heart that made me stop.
When Gods children see pain and suffering, we stop. We love on them. We let Jesus do whatever he wants to do in that moment.
Jesus is amazing and gets all the praise and glory. And as this ACT year wraps up, I am so very grateful for everyone at Prophetic Company who has not just taught us the truth but modeled it.
Love,
L.C.
NEXT STEPS:
I was so inspired by this testimony, not only by its power, but by its vulnerability. The struggle is real. We all have those times of feeling unqualified, unsure, too busy. But she pressed through all of those obstacles and just went for it. If you're tired of just driving by your opportunities without the faith or confidence to act, I want to invite you to the same training that changed this student's life.
Grow your confidence in recognizing and responding to God's voice like this student did at our annual School of Prophetic Training, coming up this October 9-11 in Austin, Texas OR join us online. This training is a great immersive experience for anyone wanting to grow their gift of prophecy.
But it is also an opportunity to look deeper into becoming an Activate Certified Trainer through our 2-hour-a -week online mentoring program that begins in January and runs through the first week of October.
Join us for the next year of ACT training and discover what it means for ordinary believers to live and lead from an extraordinary kingdom identity.
Jesus is amazing. He gets all the glory. And YOU can live the same reality.
Hope to see you there,
Dano
